UNICAL Admission Requirements For UTME

Below are the requirements for candidates that wish to gain admission into UNICAL through UTME:

1. You must have at least an O’level Credit pass in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics). In this case, the O’level result could be WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB or any equivalent.
2. You must choose the correct JAMB subject combination.
3. Candidates must score at least 160 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission into the University Of Calabar.
4. UNICAL Must be your First Choice of Institution.
5. You Must Participate in UNICAL POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission.
6. You Must be 16 years Old before Applying for Admission to the University Of Calabar.
7. Your Result should not be more than two sittings.

UNICAL Requirements For Direct Entry (DE)

Below are the requirements for candidates that wish to gain admission into UNICAL through Direct Entry:

1. Direct entry candidates must also possess an O’level Credit grade in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics).
2. Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
3. Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the UNICAL Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And UNICAL Portal.
4. Your Result should not be more than two sittings.
