Well, life sometimes is painful and messed up. It gets complicated at the worst of times, and sometimes you have no idea where to go or what to do.

Lots of times people just let themselves get lost, dropping into a wide-open, huge abyss.

But that’s why we have to keep trying. We have to push through all that hurts us, work past all the memories that are haunting us.

Sometimes the things that hurt us are the things that make us strongest. A life without experience, in my opinion, is no life at all.

And that’s why I tell everyone that, even when it hurts, never stop yourself from living.”

Well, it turns out that statistics show that only a small percentage of school dropouts or individuals with only a secondary school education eventually reach the I-can-comfortably-buy-a-car status.

With that, you can imagine how small the percentage will be for people who eventually attain billionaire status.

In fact, if you want a number, it can be said that less than 1% of people who start out in life by dropping out of school eventually make it to the million-dollar status in life.

Suffice it to say that the idea of the “college dropout turn billionaire” is just a myth propelled by our tendency to fall in love with unique stories.

Another fact that a lot of people forget to realize is that folks like Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, and Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook were already attending ivy league schools and getting world-class education before they dropped out.

Also, these guys were coding obsessively since they were in high school.

The bottom line is that they already had what it took (education and skills) to succeed in life.

Sadly, a lot of young Nigerians thinking of taking this path don’t have any of this.

If you have read the biographies of rich men all around the world who decided to quit school and became billionaires and are motivated to drop your school bag, you might want to see the following reasons why it’s a bad idea and think again:

Why You Should Drop Out of School

  1. Dropouts have a high chance of dropping into loneliness, isolation, and confusion.
  2. Many dropouts tend to leave school because of laziness.
  3. Many dropouts have a bad landing or land on a nonprofitable business or idea.
  4. Many dropouts quit school and stop learning as well.
  5. Dropouts miss out on the perks that come with a university education.

Reason Students Stop At Secondary School/Drop Out

Maybe you have failed JAMB, WAEC, or GCE so many times and now you’re wondering whether it is even worth it at all.

Perhaps, you are already in school and you are having a frustrating experience.

Maybe, the economic climate in the country is discouraging you.

Perhaps, you know some of your enviable mates who are already done with university education and are still jobless and you feel discouraged.

Whichever category you fall under, you are not alone.

Sadly, a lot of students in Nigeria are frustrated.

If they have scaled through JAMB successfully, their performance in WAEC might be holding them back.

Some have successfully gotten admission, but then the lapses in the educational system make it difficult for them to enjoy and maximize their university experience.

Some lackadaisical lecturers are even making matters worse by their sheer lack of enthusiasm for their job.

Some of them forget that without love for their job, they cannot impart knowledge to their students.

Of course, JAMB, WAEC, your school (if you are already an undergraduate), and yes, your lecturers are not entirely to blame for the situation of things.

Besides, this article is not about who is to be blamed.

The fact is that it can be very painful when you do everything within your ability to gain admission and it doesn’t work out.

The anger is multiplied when you see those who you are academically better than gain admission because of connection or who they know.

It can also be frustrating to enter school with high hopes of learning and dreams of what you will build, create or do with what you learn in school, only to find that you haven’t learned much after spending three years.

With so many students complaining and itching to give up on school, it has become imperative to publish an article like this.

If you are considering giving up on school, then this is for you.

Now, The Final Piece of Advice

Your level of competence in a field greatly determines your level of confidence.

Stopping your education at the secondary school level or dropping out of school could really affect your self-esteem.

In most cases, you will be ashamed to tell people that you are a school dropout.

So if you are planning to give up on school or know anyone who is planning to quit, ask yourself or tell him or her to ask this simple question:

“Do I already have a profitable business that will suffer if I continue school?”

There is close to the best question you can ask yourself if you are considering calling it quits.

Hence, if your answer to this question is “No”, it’s not time to quit schooling.

If you have a business that is not yet profitable enough, try to keep running the business while continuing your studies.

Even if the business is profitable if you can run it while in school, by all means, do so, so that you don’t miss out on the benefits of having a university degree.

If you are still trying to scale through JAMB or WAEC, don’t give up.

Study using exam focus and recommended textbooks, go through past questions, practice computer based tests, take tutorials, get a lesson teacher if you can afford one, change your course to a less competitive one if necessary.

Keep trying and you will eventually secure admission.

Please don’t quit or drop out unless it is absolutely impossible to continue.

And frankly, it is difficult to come up with good reasons why one should give up school.

People like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs aren’t the rule.

They are the exceptions.

And, it’s never wise to make decisions based on peculiar cases.

Be smart, be wise, be patient and you will find a way to survive and thrive.

Types Of Constitutions (Which is Nigeria Operating?)

Have you been searching for the various Types Of Constitutions in Nigeria? or have you been asking; What type of constitution does Nigeria operate? If YES, then this post you are currently reading is for you as we are going to provide answers to the above questions.

Before we proceed, take a look at the meaning of Constitution and the functions of a Federal Constitution.

Types Of Constitutions
Types Of School Constitutions

What Type Of Constitution Does Nigeria Operate?

The Federal Republic Of Nigeria Operates a Rigid And Written Federal Constitution.

Now that you know the type of constitution used in Nigeria let’s now look at the various types of constitutions.

Types Of Constitutions

Here are the four (4) types of constitutions.

  1. Rigid Constitution
  2. Flexible Constitution
  3. Written Constitution
  4. Unwritten Constitution

a) Rigid Constitution

A Rigid constitution is a constitution that is difficult to be amended or slow to change usually because of a prescribed process of the amendment that is detailed and lengthy in execution.

A rigid constitution contributes to political stability.

A rigid constitution cannot be misused by the government having the support of a simple majority in the national legislature.

A rigid constitution protects the fundamental rights of the individual.

A rigid constitution is good for a federal system of Government like Nigeria because neither the centre nor the Federal units can easily change it to their advantage.

b) Flexible Constitution

A flexible constitution is an opposite of a rigid constitution.

A flexible constitution can easily be amended.

A flexible constitution is a constitution that is not defined or set apart in a distinct document and that is not distinguishable from other laws in the way in which its terms can be legislatively altered.

The constitution of England is a typical example of a flexible constitution.

c) Written Constitution

A Written Constitution refers to the constitution codified and compiled in a single document.

The Nigerian constitution is written in a single document and it’s a typical example.

A written constitution is very clear and precise. It is free from doubts and ambiguity, it also lays emphasis on rule of law.

A written constitution is indispensable to federalism. It properly distributes powers between the centre and federal units – states or provinces.

A written constitution also protects the fundamental rights of the citizens.

d) Unwritten Constitution

An unwritten Constitution is an opposite of a written constitution.

An unwritten constitution is not written down in a single document and it’s easy to be amended.

An uncodified constitution is a type of constitution where the fundamental rules often take the form of customs, usage, precedent, and a variety of statutes and legal instruments.

An understanding of the constitution is obtained through reading commentary by the judiciary, government committees, or legal experts.

Now that you know the various types of constitutions kindly share them with others.

It will be of tremendous importance to know that choosing the right school for yourself can make all the difference in the success of your academic career.

The bad news is that the abundance of options often leaves you in a quandary over how to choose the best environment for yourself.

It is important to know what to look for in a school to ensure you receive the best possible education for your specific needs.

In some cases, that might indeed be the public school down the street, while other children may need a different environment to facilitate their learning process most effectively.

About Baze University

The Baze University is a private university located in Abuja, Nigeria.

Baze University was established in 2011.

The Baze University admits students from different parts of Nigeria irrespective of race, cultural, and religious background with a very large student and staff population.

When you go to the Baze University campus, it can feel intimidating.

It’s like going to Times Square for the first time.

The history and tradition of Baze University can be overwhelming.

But, eventually, it becomes your home.

Baze University offers Undergraduate and Postgraduates courses.

Baze University offers degree programs in different areas such as; Sciences, Social Sciences, Management, etc.

The institution also provides accommodation for newly admitted students and returning students.

Baze University school fees are also quite affordable like most private universities and it is not up to 5 Million Naira.

The University no doubt is VERY COMPETITIVE in nature.

Currently, no Nigerian university is rated in the top 5,000 in the world.

Many Nigerians thus feel compelled to send their sons and daughters to be educated abroad, at substantial cost (at least $28,000 per year for tuition, travel and living expenses).

Baze offers the same quality of education and living at about $14,000 (N2.2 m) – and, at a critical stage of their lives, students will be closer to their families.

The varsity Ensure that young Nigerians see their local university as their higher education destination of choice Provide a safe, vibrant, sustainable and accessible place for our students and staff to live, work and study.

“Baze delivers quality through experienced international staff, superb teaching equipment, overseas external examiners, and first-rate buildings to guarantee standards. Baze aims to provide university education to British standards in Nigeria at about half the cost of sending a student to study abroad”

Technology is fast revolutionising the world and we aim to be a part of the revolution.

Baze interest in the subject is reflected in our recent hosting of the event that focused on the importance of drone technology in development programmes.

Diversification of thought and processes is important and Baze tailors curriculum to portray this quality.

Students have the knowledge-base and corresponding skills required to excel everywhere regardless of geography, cultural orientation.

BAZE facilities and infrastructure are designed and constructed to ensure that students acquire quality education in an environment that is conducive and comfortable for their advancement in knowledge and thought.

With facilities ranging from sports and recreations, malls to religious centres, students have all of their needs met without stepping outside the campus grounds.

In addition, sound and first-rate buildings acquired highly experienced individuals that will ensure that these facilities are put to the best and most productive use.

These individuals – ranging from the academic staff (who are visionaries of the education system) to the security guards and cleaning services – are dedicated to the provision of the best services available to guarantee that standards set forth by the University’s board are exceedingly met.

Is Baze University A Private Or Federal University?

The Baze University is one of the best private Universities in Nigeria.

Is Baze University A Good School?

Of course, like I earlier said, the Baze University is one of the best Universities in Nigeria.

The University thrives in an environment that fosters competitiveness, unrestrained scientific inquiry, critical thinking, innovation, and creativity.

This is also the reason why Baze University is competitive.
